Happy summer! The calendar may not have made it official yet (June 21st), but in my house the season begins on June 1st. I'm already organizing towels and swimsuits, and deciding which audiobooks will accompany me to the beach during this year's Audiobook Month.
Audiobooks aren't usually on my radar - I prefer the written word, because I better absorb information when I see/read it. But hearing someone else's interpretation of the material, spoken with thoughtful inflections and dramatic pauses, can be a revelation. I have a few audiobooks of my favorite stories, and my joy only deepened after hearing them.
So, this June, I'm trying to be more well-rounded with regard to my listening material.
