May is Mystery Month! I recently solved the mundane mystery of Where I Misplaced My Novella Notes. The plot was flimsy at best, and the solution left much to be desired. But by channeling my inner Mary Poppins (complete with a little lyrical alliteration), the task became a game and all its consequences were easier to swallow.
Every day is full of mysteries, from Am I Wearing Pants? to more dire situations such as Is This Grocery Bag Going To Hold? The answers can be devastating, and you have to get the tension just right for maximum effectiveness.
Whether you enjoy fiction or true crime, if mysteries are your cup of tea, celebrate May with all the cozy (or grisly) stories you love! Just don't impersonate Dexter when writing or living your own.
