Are you ready for National Novel Writing Month?
I'm a day behind because I ate leftover Halloween candy until I entered a chocolate coma (as I do every year; it's tradition) and subsequently forgot the outside world existed. But knowing there is a plethora of people out there committing to the craft this month encourages me to put down the Almond Joy in favor of my keyboard / pencil. I will eat that Almond Joy later as a reward for meeting my daily word count...or for trying my best.
If you are tackling NaNoWriMo, whether officially registered or just using it as guidance, let the small wins bolster you into attaining larger goals. No one in my creative circle approaches a project the same way, but we all feel equally low when we fall short of our benchmarks. That is why having a community of support is so helpful.
Good luck, everyone!
Sidebar: If you live in the USA and have an opinion regarding leadership (federal, state, county, local, whatever), I encourage you to vote in the General Election on November 5th.
